Welcome to MWA Creations
Hello! My name is Maximilian Alexander and I am currently an art student working through school to get my BFA, with my specialty being illustration. I have a special interest in working in comic book or graphic novel illustration, however I am skilled with much more subjects beyond that. I discovered my passion for art at the bottom of a box of Froot Loops at the tender age of conception. Coming out of the womb was a real thrill as I was only fluent in 7 languages before my eyes saw first light, as this caused me to be chastised by my cousins baby mamas auntie three times removed. Which, as you may be able to imagine, put me at a rough disadvantage. I now currently barely understand one language, and that is English, but thankfully there is such things like [REDACTED] Translator!

No, honestly, as it is really hard to convey character and personality through text on a digital screen, I am just a human trying to make it on this floating rock in space. I have an odd sense of humor and whimsy that I passionately put into everything of which I create. I am highly influenced by the Impressionist style, with a love for the macabre and ironic. Horror movies are ny love language, (and food, as my partner well knows), so I like to feel like the campy era of horror from the 70's and 80's cinema really influenced my interest.

I am a champion for mental health awareness, as it is something that affects me personally, but also the root of which that gave me my initial spark of interest in jumping into the art industry. I had always been a "doodler," as I would call it, going back to some of my first memories. Through my entire life, it was never anything that I felt was important, and more of a hobby, since I grew up in a family with a mindset of getting an education for something "useful." By that, they meant something like study law, or medicine, or business, not art.

Through the tough times, the one thing that stuck was art. As the years went on, I would stop for awhile as life changes happened, but I would always come back to a pad of paper and a pencil. Fast forward, and I was in the beginning of therapy for depression, PTSD and other issues, and my therapist encouraged that I paint, and do art to really help process feelings. It was like a light switch flicking on and the light fills the room.

I hope that you take your time and enjoy my online gallery, as well as your patronage in visiting my shop. Since I am a student, I am open to creating custom designs for you, also. If there is something that you would like drawn, from family portraits, fan art, logos, mascots, decal designs, stickers, prints, caricatures, whatever it is that you want I would be happy to talk about it and make your idea a reality.
